St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas said he has invited Alan Leibman, the CEO of Kerzner International Management, to pursue a high-end boutique resort in St Kitts and Nevis.
Kerzner’s projects around the world include the Atlantis hotels in the Bahamas and Dubai.
Douglas said he issued the invitation to Leibman during the latter’s recent visit to the twin-island federation, suggesting that a resort could be built on either Nevis or St Kitts.

According to Douglas, Leibman has accepted the invitation and has reportedly expressed an interest in pursuing the development of a 126-room high-end boutique hotel. That would be significantly smaller than either of the Atlantis properties.
Douglas also said that Leibman had “commented on the quality of the service at the Four Seasons in Nevis.”
An agent of Kerzner is set to visit St Kitts and Nevis this week “to explore possibilities,” Douglas said.
