Cayman Islands Lightly Shaken By 4.1-Magnitude Earthquake

The Cayman Islands was lightly shaken by a 4.1-magnitude earthquake south of Grand Cayman early Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake occurred at about 10:30 AM, 64 kilometres south of Bodden Town and 66 kilometres south of Georgetown — about 394 kilometres south-southwest of Cienfuegos, Cuba.

There were no reports of damage, but there were reports of shaking felt across Grand Cayman, particularly on the island’s western edge.

The quake struck at a depth of nine kilometres.
