Incoming Puerto Rico Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla has named Ingrid Rivera Rocafort as the new director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, he announced Thursday.
The move was one of several appointments to Padilla’s economic team.
Rocafort, a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, was previously the director of investor relations at Advent Morro Equity Partners, one of Puerto Rico’s leading private equity firms.
She will succeed Luis Rivera-Marin, who joined the Puerto Rico Tourism Company in May.
The tourism company has more than 500 employees and, as recently as this year a budget of nearly $100 million.
