Haiti President Michel Martelly accepted the credentials Thursday of three new ambassadors to the country in Port-au-Prince.

The President welcomed new Malaysian Ambassador Jojie Samuel, Godelieve Van den Berg, the new Ambassador from Belgium and Perovic Petrovic, Serbia’s new Ambassador to Haiti.

The new envoys reiterated their commitment to “maintain and strengthen” their bonds of cooperation and friendship with Haiti, according to the National Palace.

Martelly said he was convinced that “Haiti and its partners have everything to gain,” assuring the diplomats of his “willingness to work in the same direction.”
