St Kitts and Nevis is receiving a pair of interceptor vessels from the United States Coast Guard.
The new ships come under the aegis of the “Secure Seas” programme.
US Ambassador to St Kitts and Nevis Larry PAlmer is handing over the vessels and equipment on Tuesday to St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas, who has responsibility for the police and defence forces.
Palmer was in St Kitts and Nevis in September to hand over new equipment to the New Horizons Rehabilitation Centre.
The handing-over ceremony is taking place at the Coast Guard Base at Bird Rock.
