The death toll in Haiti due to Hurricane Sandy has reportedly increased to three, according to Haiti’s Civil Protection Office.

Two women and one man have been killed due to the storm, with all deaths occurring in Haiti’s South department.

Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe was urging residents, if possible, to share texts and pictures of the storm in order to inform the community at large.

The storm has departed Haiti, however. Jamaica, which was also hit hard by the storm, has lifted its hurricane warning.

It is currently a Category 2 hurricane.
