US Virgin Islands Governor John de Jongh has nominated three attorneys as Superior Court Judges.

Denise Hinds has been nominated as a judge in the court’s Family Division on St Croix to replace Judge Patricia Steele for a six-year term.

Debra Watlington has been nominated as a judge in the Superior Court’s Family Division in St Thomas, while Douglas Brady has been appointed to replace Judge Julio Brady as a Superior Court Judge in St Croix.

“Attorneys Hinds, Watlington and Brady, throughout their distinguished legal careers, have all demonstrated the tremendous aptitude and sound judgment that will make them excellent members of our territory’s judiciary,” de Jongh said.

In another appointment, de Jongh nominated Gwendolyn Adams to serve a five-year term on the University of the Virgin Islands’ Board of Trustees.
