Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake, Jamaica’s star sprinters, each took home victories in the Brussels Diamond League meet on Friday.

It was a Jamaican sweep in the 100m, in which Bolt, the gold medal winner in London, ran the 100-metres in 9.96, ahead of fellow Jamaican Nesta Carter and Kemar Bailey-Cole, who dashed in 9.97, a personal best.

Blake took home first place in the 200m, with a time of 19.54, ahead of another Jamaican, Jason Young, who finished in 19.92. France’s Christophe Lemaitre came in third. Jamaica’s Warren Weir finished fourth.

Belgium’s Kevin Borlee finished first in the men’s 400m (gold medalist Kirani James did not run in the race), while his brother, Jonathan Borlee, finished second, followed by Trinidad’s Lalonde Gordon.

Another Jamaican, Hansle Parchment, who won the bronze medal in London in the 100m, came in third in Brussels behind Americans Arles Merritt and Jason Richardson.

Merritt’s finish of 12.80 set a new world record.

On the women’s side, Jamaica’s Anneisha McLaughlin finished second to France’s Myriam Soumare in the 200m.
