St Kitts will be adding two nonstop flights to St Kitts, the company announced Thursday.
The two flights will operate from Miami on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the company.
“The addition of two rotations over critical weekend days from Miami will provide additional options for travelers to and from St Kitts and Nevis,” said St Kitts and Nevis Tourism Minister Ricky Skerritt. “These flights will meet the growth in demand that we anticipate in 2013 and are ideally timed for moving honeymoon and romance travelers as well as meeting and incentive groups, presenting us with more opportunity to build upon these key niche North American markets.”
The flights will begin service from Miami to Robert L Bradshaw International Airport Nov. 16.
“With additional service to St Kitts, American Airlines now offers customers even more travel options and convenient access to one of the Caribbean’s most tranquil isles,” said Art Torno, vice president for Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America at American Airlines. “We are pleased to expand our service to this beautiful and breathtaking destination.”
American will now be operating nine flights per week from Miami to Basseterre. It also operates a twice-weekly flight from New York’s John F Kennedy Airport.
