With a number of new projects in development, from the Baha Mar in New Provience to the $1 billion Baker’s Bay development on Great Guana Cay, the Bahamian economy is “poised for rebounding,” according to Khaalis Rolle, Minister of State for investments.

“There a quite a number of these types of facilities throughout the Bahamas and you look at where we are now, this is just an indication that the Bahamas is poised for rebounding,” Rolle said. “We see those types of developments as key to the country rebounding.”

Rolle was speaking on a visit to Baker’s Bay and the Treasure Sands Club in Abaco last week.

Baker’s Bay is being developed by Discovery Land Company, a Scottsdale-based real firm. The $10 million Treasure Sands Club has plans for a boutique hotel.
