Jamaica’s Kaliese Spencer Finishes Fourth in Women’s 400M Hurdles

Jamaica’s Kaliese Spencer came just short of a bronze medal, finishing in fourth place in the women’s 400m hurdles final.

Russia’s Natalya Antyukh won the gold, while

Kaliese finished in a time of 53.66, just behind the Czech Republic’s Zuzana Hejnova, who completed the course in 53.38 seconds.

Spencer, a 25-year-old native of Westmoreland, also came in fourth in the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea.

Her time did mark an improvement over her most recent Diamond League finish in Rome, which came in 54.39 seconds.

Her personal best is 52.79 seconds.
