Haiti President Michel Martelly accepted letters of credence Friday from the new ambassadors from Germany, the United States and Honduras.

M Klaus Peter Schick is Germany’s new Ambassador to Haiti, while Maria Eugenia Barrios Aleman is the new envoy from Honduras.

New United States Ambassador Pamela White presented her credentials after arriving in Haiti Wednesday, as Caribbean Journal reported.

Martelly “reassured” the diplomats of his willingness to “work in full cooperation to strengthen ties of friendship and strengthen cooperative relations between their countries and Haiti,” he said in a statement.

Martelly said Haiti was continuing to send a clear signal of change to the rest of the world. He said he hoped the diplomats’ work would be “fruitful both for their country and for the Haitian people.”

Haiti’s President recently accepted the credentials of the new ambassadors from Jamaica, Norway and Denmark at the end of May.
