Trinidad and Tobago National Security Minister Jack Warner met with Chinese Ambassador to Trinidad Yang Youming during a courtesy call Monday.

The talks were held at the Ministry’s office in Port of Spain.

Warner recently assumed the National Security portfolio during a cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar last month.

He had previously served as Trinidad’s Works Minister.

Ambassador Yang congratulated Warner on the appointment, and presented a gift on behalf of China’s government.

The two were joined by Minister in the Ministry of National Security Colin Partap.
