The Caribbean region’s first London 2012 medal has come thanks to Cuba.
Cuban Judo competitor Yanet Bermoy Acosta took home silver in the women’s judo final..
The 25-year-old, who is coached by Ronaldo Veitia, is one of 110 Cuban athletes at the Games.
She was defeated in the gold medal match by North Korean 32-year-old Kum Ae An.
