A strong bowling performance from Tino Best and Sunil Narine spun the West Indies to a series-clinching, 24-run victory over New Zealand in Basseterre Saturday.

The victory was the third in four Digicel ODI matches against the Kiwis.

Best snared four wickets for 46 runs from his allotment of 10 overs, and off-spinner Narine supported with two for 20 from 10 overs to earn the Man-of-the-Match award.

New Zealand chased 265 for victory from their allocation of 50 overs at Warner Park in St Kitts’ capital.

Best, who got off to a shaky start, produced some superb “death bowling” and Narine stymied the Black Caps, despite Ross Taylor’s sixth One-day International century of 110.

The victory gave the Windies a 3-1 mark in the series, following a split in Kingston and a sweep in Lauderhill, Fla in the first sanctioned cricket matches in South Florida.

Kieron Pollard led the way at bat, collecting five fours and one six in 56 from 70 balls as the West Indies were dismissed for 264 from 49.5 overs.

Marlon Samuels continued his strong play with 46, Devon Thomas made 37, Andre Russell got 29 and West Indies Captain Darren Sammy added 26.
