Dubai’s Range Developments has signed an agreement to build a Park Hyatt hotel in St Kitts.
The project will be financed through the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme through the sale of individual shares for $400,000.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the Park Hyatt Dubai, attended by St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas, who is currently on an investment trip to Dubai.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome the prestigious Park Hyatt brand and Range Developments to the island of St Kitts,” Douglas said. “This project will further advance our government’s economic transformation of St Kitts since the closure of the sugar industry in 2005.”
Under St Kitts’ investment programme, individuals can become eligible for citizenship in St Kitts and Nevis by making a qualifying investment in the twin-island federation.
Construction on the multi-billion-dollar Christophe Harbour resort project is already underway.
The Park Hyatt project, which will be developed by Range Developments and Kiawah Partners, will include 300 rooms across three phases, including a residential component.
It will also include a spa with an outdoor treatment room, according to Range.

The first phase of construction will include 125 rooms.
“We are pleased to launch a major development project on the beautiful island of St Kitts,” Range CEO Munaf Ali said.
Range has also partnered with Dewan, FEBC and Standard Chartered on the project.
