Cricket: Jamaica’s Chris Gayle Moves Up to Fourth in T20 Batting Rankings

Jamaican batsman Chris Gayle has moved into fourth place on the International Twenty20 Championship Batting Rankings.

The rankings are produced by Reliance ICC.

Gayle’s surge to fourth, just behind New Zealand’s BB McCullum, comes after a standout performance agains the Kiwis as two matches in Lauderhill this weekend.

He is just ahead of India’s Suresh Raina.

The left-handed Gayle notched two half-centuries in this weekend’s contests, which the first-ever sanctioned cricket matches in South Florida.

Gayle is just now making his return to West Indies Cricket after a long hiatus due to a contentious relationship with coaches in 2010, something for which Gayle later expressed regret.
