Haiti President Michel Michel Martelly received the credentials of three new envoys to Haiti Tuesday, the latest in a series of new ambassadors to the country.
Martelly met with Danish Ambassador Susanne Haekkerup, Dr Paul Robotham of Jamaica and Norway’s Peter John Opdahl.
Haekkerup was previously the Danish Ambassador to Mexico.
All three were accompanied by the vice consuls and honorary consuls of their respective countries.
The new ambassadors reiterated the commitment of their nations to maintain and strengthen their existing ties with Haiti.
Martelly assured them of his willingness to work to strengthen their ties of friendship, hoping that their cooperation would be fruitful for both Haiti and the Haitian people, according to the National Palace.
Earlier this month, Martelly received the credentials from Brazilian Ambassador Jose Luiz Machado e Costa and new Panamanian Ambassador John Evans Atherley.
The new US Ambassador, Paul Altidor, officially took office at the beginning of May.
