Bahamian national air carrier Bahamasair has introduced the first female pilots in the company’s history.
Three pilots, Gwendolyn Ricthie, Gail Saunders and Frances Smith, have each been promoted to Dash 8 aircraft captains.
The three were introduced at a ceremony Tuesday at the country’s Lynden Pindling International Airport.
They were joined at the introduction by Captain Paulo Cartwright, director of flight operations and Henry Woods, managing director at Bahamasair.
