Panama Receives Credentials From New US, Indonesian Ambassadors

The new United States and Indonesian Ambassadors to Panama delivered their credentials to President Ricardo Martinelli Tuesday.

Jonathan Farrar, of the United States, and Dwi Ayu Arimami, of Indonesia, have now been accredited as ambassadors to Panama.

The ceremonies were attended by Martinelli and Foreign Minister Francisco Alvarez de Soto.

Farrar previously served as head of the United States Interests Section in Havana.

Farrar, who has extensive experience in Latin America, also has served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Uruguay.

Arimami is also deputy chief of Indonesia’s consular service.
