Argentina and Dominican Republic Hold Talks on Trade Relations, Integration

Dominican Republic President Leonel Fernandez held talks today with Argentine Foreign Minister Hector Timerman in Santo Domingo.

The two officials, who were joined by Dominican Republic Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso and Dr Cesar Pina Toribio, Minister for the Presidency, talked about trade relations and friendship between the two states.

The two side signed a joint statement highlighting the relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to human rights, development and international security.

They also pledged to strengthen existing multilateral agencies and spoke about the importance of regional development.
