The Antigua Grammar School has formed an alliance with the Summit Alternative School in Ontario, Canada.

The two schools will be joined, largely through video conferencing, as a way of sharing information on cultural differences and similarities.

As part of the relationship under the International School Twinning Initiative, AGS will receive technological support, including laptops, smart boards and cameras, and the equipment needed to build a garden on the school compound.

The ISTI is the brainchild of Canadian Minister of International Cooperation Beverley Oda, who said, via video conference, that the programme would bring “closer togetherness” between Canadian students and those in developing countries.
