Britain’s Prince Harry will visit Jamaica in March as part of the international celebrations commemorating the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation.

Prince Harry, who is also a captain in the British Army, will participate in military exercises with fellow officers at the Jamaica Defence Force Up Park Camp base and copilot a JDF helicopter to Trelawny.

The Governor-General will host a dinner at King’s House in his honour, at which the prince will deliver a speech recognizing the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence.

He will also visit the Bahamas and Belize ahead of his visit to Jamaica. It will be his last official duty in honour of his grandmother’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Queen most recently visited Jamaica in 2002.
