Grenada’s ruling National Democratic Congress has dismissed what it calls “vicious lies” about strife within the party.

“We’re living good, we’re eating good, and we’re living together,” said Senator Arley Gill, press officer for the NDC following an executive meeting at the party’s headquarters last night in St George’s.

Reports had arisen of a faction in the party allegedly led by General Secretary and current Tourism Minister Peter David.

“There is no Peter David faction in the NDC,” he said. “To the best of my knowledge, Peter David has never asked anyone in the party or government to support him.”

David represents the Town of St George in Parliament.
