St Vincent Focused on Security

The general welfare of the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines will continue to be a top priority, according to Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves.

The country will continue to focus on safety and security, he said, speaking at a two-day regional meeting of Police Welfare Associations.

The meeting was behind held to discuss issues affecting law enforcement throughout the Caribbean.

According to Gonsalves, the country was continuing to improve the capacity and efficiency of its police force.

The meeting was being attended by police officials from seven countries in the region.
