Habitat for Humanity Canada is working with Habitat for Humanity Haiti to help small businesses’ ability to meet demand for housing in the areas of Leogane and greater Port-au-Prince.

The initiative will directly benefit approximately 3,400 Haitians.

The project will take place in the local construction sector in the two cities, both of which were devastated by the 2010 earthquake.

The project will help small and microenterprises meet the demand for housing to the tune of as much as $2.4 million over three years.

The programme comes as a result of help from the Canadian International Development Agency.
