Trinidad and Tobago has established diplomatic ties with Croatia, following a ceremony last Wednesday.
Croatia will soon become the newest member of the European Union.
The two sides were enthusiastic about soon appointing honorary consuls to pursue opportunities for cultural and economic cooperation between the two states.
Trinidad’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Rodney Charles, signed on behalf of his country, and Croatian Ambassador to the UN Ranko Vilovic signed on behalf of Croatia.
The signing took place through Trinidad’s Permanent Mission in New York.
