Construction is underway on a series of new projects in St Kitts, including a private jet terminal and the Kittitian Hill resort, according to Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas.

The jet terminal will begin construction next month, and is set for completion in October. Kittitian Hill has already broken ground on 36 resort cottages and 10 villas.

The resort’s Phase One, which is the opening of a 90-room hotel, spa and golf resort will take place next December.

Douglas said the private jet terminal would target clients from a number of developments, including the Christophe Harbour project, which recently opened the Pavilion at Sandy Bank Bay.

Phase Two of the Silver Reef luxury apartment complex will also be completed by June, he said.

“We are seeing the positive impact from the completion of the final 22 units of the 88-unit Marriott Vacation Club International, which has timeshare owners that visit year-round, therefore providing a balance between the seasonal lows and highs of leisure travel,” Douglas said.
