A new exhibition to open in the Bahamas Dec. 8 will take a photographic look at the theme of deception.
The programme, featured by Nassau’s Popopstudios, will look at the work of 17 visual artists expressing their artistic interpretation of the theme of “deception.”
Artists include John Cox, the founder of Popopstudios, Lyndah Wells, whose work was featured in the recent “Bahama Mama” exhibition at the Bahamas’ Public Treasury, and Jackson Petit.
Other artists featured are Jason Bennett, Dede Brown, Steffon Grant, Kendal Hanna, Sabrina Lightbourn, Pheobe Luk, Jeff Major, Kishan Munroe, Holly Parotti, Alistair Stevenson and Lisa Wells.
The exhibition’s works, all of which were completed in the last 12 months, have not been shown anywhere else.
“Deception” runs until from Dec. 8 to Jan. 7 at Popopstudios Center for the Visual Arts in Nassau’s Chippingham area.
