There was an earthquake early this morning with an epicentre in the Saint Martin region of the Leeward Islands felt across the area, including Anguilla, Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe and Sint Maarten.
The quake, which registered at 4.7 on the Richter scale, was one of a series of similarly-rated earthquakes worldwide, including in Papua New Guinea and Northern California.
The epicenter of the quake was east of Sint Maarten and Guadeloupe, and southeast of Anguilla.
Puerto Rico registered several earthquakes this morning, including one with a high of 4.9.
