By the Caribbean Journal staff

Jamaica’s cabinet has approved a Tax Information Exchange Agreement with Macau, a special administrative region of China, according to Information Minister Sen. Arthur Williams.

The agreement will enhance cooperation on taxes between both parties and improve the capacity to monitor taxpayers and revenue owed to each jurisdiction.

The agreement will also facilitate the exchange of tax information between tax authorities in Jamaica and their counterparts in Macao, Williams said.
