Zero tolerance on crime and violence is paramount for St Kitts and Nevis, according to Prime Minister Denzil Douglas.

Douglas, who was speaking at a ceremony to hand over a vehicle to police at the Port Zante Business Community yesterday, assumed the responsibility for the country’s police and defence forces earlier this year.

“We as a government cannot do it alone; we do not think we can do it alone,” he said. “The police cannot do it alone; the Defence Force cannot do it alone. It takes partnership.”

The vehicle was part of a series donated to police by the Coalition of Support for St Kitts and Nevis Security Initiatives, the Customs and Excise Department and the TDC.
