The Bahamas is bidding farewell to US Ambassador Nicole Avant, who has completed her two-year term and will be returning to the United States tomorrow.
Avant paid a farewell courtesy call on Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes yesterday, and is paying a similar call on Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham today.
Deputy Chief of Mission John Dinkelman will assume the role of Charge d’Affaires until a new US Ambassador is appointed.
Avant gave her final press conference on Thursday.
