Approximately 30 percent of Guyanese parliamentarians are women, the highest rate of female political involvement in CARICOM, according to data from the United Nations Human Development Report.
Guyana is followed by Trinidad, whose parliament has 27.4 percent female members, and Grenada, which is third at 21.4 percent.
Haiti has the fewest female parliamentarians in the Caribbean, with 4.2 percent of its parliament.
