Antigua’s ICT Fest is underway, part of a plan Dr Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer said aims at making the country digitally competitive.
“Today the government of Antigua and Barbuda is continuing to deliver on its promise of building an intelligent nation,” Spencer said. “Today Antigua and Barbuda sends another clear signal that we are indeed building an information-enabled, globally-connected knowledge-based society.”
As part of the festival, Antigua is transforming itself into a “digital village,” with exhibitions, technology competitions and seminars on ideas like the production of apps for smartphones and tablets.
