Guyana Elections Set for November 28th

Guyanese President Bharrat Jagdeo announced tonight that general and regional elections will be held on Nov. 28. Jagdeo will not be running in the elections, meaning Guyana will have a new prime minister for the first time since 1999. A number of third parties have already agreed to observe the elections, including the Organization of American States and CARICOM.
