Trinidad Makes 100 More Arrests; Total Rises to 1,807 during State of Emergency

Trinidad announced that 100 people were arrested over a 24-hour period from September 9 to September 10, bringing the number of people arrested since the start of the State of Emergency up to 1,807.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Communications, 21 arrests involved outstanding warrants, 24 were related to drug offences and 14 involved illegal immigrants.

A plurality of the arrests made since the emergency proclamation have been gang-related, with 444 arrests.
