The Bahamas will host the first Regional Seminar on Tourism at the end of this month, as part of an effort by CARICOM to insulate the integral Caribbean tourism sector from the global downturn. The seminar will focus on identifying impediments to the development of small- and medium-sized tourism enterprises and outlining programmes for cooperation between CARICOM nations. The First Regional Seminar on Tourism will be held for two days beginning Aug. 31.
