Bahamas Swears in Supreme Court Justice

The Bahamas has sworn in new Supreme Court Justice Milton Evans. Evans, who received his LLB from the University of the West Indies in 1986 and his certificate of legal education from the Norman Manley Law School in 1988, is a former lecturer and tutor in civil practice and procedure at the Eugene Dupuch Law School in the Bahamas. The native of Andros has served with the Bahamas Attorney General as crown counsel, assistant director and as Deputy Director of Legal Affairs, where he conducted most civil litigation matters for the government from 1997 to 2003. He was previously a partner at Evans & Co. chambers in Nassau.
