Hipolito Mejia Dominguez, who was the president of the Dominican Republic from 2000 and 2004 and is currently running for the office in 2012, will arrive in Antigua on Friday looking to woo potential voters. There are an estimated 10,000 Dominican nationals living in Antigua. There are still questions, however, as to whether the Dominican nationals will be able to vote, something the country’s electoral commission is still examining. [Antigua Observer]
