The Free Trade Agreement currently in the process of being negotiated by Canada and CARICOM could see its completion by later this year, but may end up being finished in 2012. “It seems that it may extend into next year,” said Canadian diplomat Francois Montour. Montour is finishing his term as Canada’s High Commissioner to Guyana. “It’s hard to say — we have negotiating teams that are working hard.” [Starbroek News]
