Sloop with 100 Haitian Migrants Lands on Shores of New Providence

More than 100 Haitian migrants traveling in a sloop ran aground in the waters off of southeastern New Providence in the Bahamas this morning, according to Ismella Davis of the Royal Bahamas Police Force. A mother and her baby were being treated by emergency services, and 30 of the migrants had been gathered at a makeshift control center. [The Nassau Guardian]
