Despite the introduction of cruise ship tourism in Jamaica’s city of Falmouth, Mayor Collin Gager is concerned that the area is not capitalising on the number of opportunities available. Gager, who is also a councillor in Falmouth, appealed to the private sector and local investors to become creative in developing attractions to the area. “I think it needs a dream,” he said. “It needs the vision of the business people to see that business does not just lie in the regular ‘selling you something’ everyday.”
