Trinidad’s Moonilal: Wise Decision to Split Works, Transport Ministries

Trinidad Minister of Housing Dr Roodal Moonilal has called the decision by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to split the Ministry of Works and Transport into two a “wise one.” The split of the portfolio, both of which had been held by embattled Minister Jack Warner, were split in the time following allegations that Warner had been involved in a bribery scandal at a CONCACAF meeting in Port of Spain. Warner, who resigned his post as FIFA vice president, was reassigned by Persad-Bissessar to hold only the Works ministry.
