Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding removed Sen. Dorothy Lightbourne from her post as Justice Minister today, replacing her with current House Speaker Delroy Chuck. Lightbourne was one of the most significant figures in Jamaica’s Extradition Crisis last year, along with an integral witness in the Manatt Commission of Enquiry. Additionally, Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce Karl Samuda announced he was opting out of the cabinet, although he has been offered the job as mining minister, according to sources.
