Bahamas, Norway Strengthen Ties

The Bahamas accredited a new Norwegian Ambassador to the Bahamas, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries. Peter Opdahl was named Non-Resident Ambassador, although he will be resident in Cuba. “Your accreditation symbolizes a new chapter in our relations,” Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes said at a ceremony in Nassau’s Government House. “I welcome this new development as it signifies the growing relationship not only between the Bahamas and Norway but also the region at large.”
