Following the controversial treatment of a Jamaican national at Grantley Adams Airport in Barbados, Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding questioned the alleged detention of a Caribbean Airlines plane in Barbados. “What I am told took place two days ago when a Caribbean Airlines plane was held up,” he said. “I don’t want to use the word detained, and the suspicion is that it is an aggressive action and I hope it is not, because that is not the way we in CARICOM must resolve CARICOM issues.” Caribbean Airlines completed its merger with Air Jamaica last month.
