The Jamaican Diaspora has a critical role in moving the country forward for growth, Jamaican Prime Minister said at a Washington reception held by Jamaican Ambassador to the U.S. Audrey Marks yesterday. “Not only are Jamaicans contributing each day in all sorts of ways, [but] many of them are investing back home,” he said. “We must never discount and we must never take for granted the support of the Jamaican community that lives abroad.” Golding urged members of the Diaspora to “come home often” and be part of the effort to rebuild the country.
