Jamaica’s Manatt Commission of Enquiry Report to Go Public June 14

Information Minister Daryl Vaz

The Jamaican Cabinet will discuss the report of the Manatt Commission of Enquiry on June 13 at Jamaica House, according to Information Minister Daryl Vaz, and the report will be tabled in Parliament the next day. After being tabled, the report will be “a public document,” according to Vaz. The report was compiled during a three-month period from January to April and looked at the events concerning the extradition request for Christopher Coke. It was delivered to the Governor General on Monday, after two extensions. “I can confirm that the June 6 deadline was met and it is in the possession of the Governor-General, and by now, I am sure it would be in the process of being prepared for tabling at Cabinet next week,” Vaz said.
