New Legal Review to Focus on Caribbean

A new legal journal, the Caribbean Law Yearbook, will debut in the late spring of this year at the University of Miami School of Law. Along with the journal, which is the first of its kind in the United States, the school added a second course, Caribbean Law II with the aim of having students produce articles for the journal. In November, the school had a legal conference, “Legal Issues in the U.S. – Jamaica Extradition Crisis”, that featured former Jamaican Minister of National Security, Hon. Dr. Peter Phillips, as its keynote speaker.
